Abstract

|
This study is focused on grasping the intensification of wife battering by domestic violence offender’s drinking in the socio-cultural circumstance of South Korea through practical research about the influence of alcoholism of domestic violence offender to wife battering. Through these, it also tries to offer data for seeking social welfare intervention which can prevent and treat domestic violence by drinking.
Based on those results, the program regarding alcohol control must be intervened actively in a counseling and treatment model for domestic violence offender. In particular, it is needed to educate and train social workers who practice domestic violence related service and clinical practicer who progress the program, “attendance decree for domestic violence offender”’ for the relations between domestic violence and alcohol positively
